Responsibility for further developing the company’s use of existing software management tools & recommending updates, integrations and additions with the aim of improving efficiency and smooth transfer of information internally and externally. Existing software tools includes Sage, Alliance MRP, Qpulse, Document Control etc (full training given). The candidate would have a hand’s on web development role concentrating on all aspects of the new website (visual appearance, usability, testing, search engine optimisation, Google Analytics etc). The candidate would also be responsible for developing website presence on social networking sites – Facebook, YouTube etc and making recommendations for the company’s e-mail marketing strategy.

problems and offering off- or on-site plant integrity and life assessment services. The Plant Service Team Leader will be someone
with an established expertise in the integrity and life assessment of some or many of the following sectors: power plant boilers, turbines, petrochemical, refining and other such plants.

Design / Senior Design Engineer

Our client is an AlM-listed plc that was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary fluid handling technology protected by over 60 granted and pending patents that utilises steam or compressed gas at supersonic speeds as its motive power and has applications across a wide range of industries, presenting huge opportunities for growth.

Location: Cambridgeshire

Key Roles:-

* Lead in the generation of concepts and layouts of systems in CAD; provide tolerance analysis of product designs and preparation of technical reports as necessary to support project development.

* Work with colleagues on all stages of product delivery from concept design through development and testing to customer installation and implementation to ensure a thorough and holistic approach is adopted at all times to develop leading edge products which commercially utilise the unique features of the Technology.

* Support liaison with clients at an all stages of projects, getting involved in defining work programmes and reporting on requirements and results to ensure a comprehensive and effective working relationship.

* Support the development, analysis and interpretation of trial programmes to meet the projects requirements. Use data and results to define further experimental protocols, including:
Defining success criteria;
Defining data that requires logging;
Ensure success criteria can be met by apparatus;
Defining resource/equipment requirements based upon trial protocol;
Collecting, logging, analysing, and storing detailed trial data in a form such that it can be recalled efficiently and usefully;
Report writing.

* Degree qualified in a suitable field – engineering or similar
* A sound and detailed engineering knowledge; both theoretical and practical.
* Have an appreciation of IP protection and the patent filing process – able to spot IP opportunities and formulise them.

* Experience in a related and appropriate field of new technology engineering design.
* Experience of project work and proven ability to drive projects to a successful conclusion
* Significant 3D CAD experience, preferably solidworks. Ideally hands on experience in leading mechanical design, stress analysis, and other CAD analysis tools.
* Demonstrate an ability to deliver quality at all times within a changing and robust environment
* Delivery of key goals to support organisational success; personal accomplishment and that of others.

An understanding and/or experience in areas such as algae and starch would be useful as well as liquid prepared food processing, fermentation, pasteurisation, or oil & gas or bio-fuels would be an added plus, as would thermal dynamics, heat and fluid flow and possibly pumps.
