Our client is well established Engineering Consultancy looking for Sales Manager. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, your primary responsibility will be for sales of the CAE software ANSYS and related services, although you will
also be able to sell the full portfolio of products and services that are
offered by Client

Overall Responsibilities
•To grow the software and services business of Wilde Analysis through business development activities (prospecting, selling and closing), achieving individual sales targets and company-wide strategic objectives.

Specific Duties
•Identify and develop new accounts by: cold calling and other lead generation activities; preparation and delivery of pre-sales presentations and proposals; closing orders; and post-sales follow-up.
•Construct sales quotations and negotiate with prospective buyers.
•Manage existing accounts, encouraging contracts to be renewed and developing further incremental business.
•Initiate and contribute to marketing campaigns, including mail-shots, sales seminars, advertising and trade shows.
•Co-ordinate activities effectively with other members of the sales team and engineers from Client and their partner organisations.
•Contribute towards new marketing material, including corporate sales presentations and web-based articles.
•Provide the Sales & Marketing Director with periodic sales plans and forecasts.
•Frequent national and occasional international travel is required.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide mechanical design engineering for electrical machines and devices in an integrated engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing components, assemblies and machines using a wide range of computer aided engineering tools including Computer Aided Design (CAD) and structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The role will also involve the analysis of thermal, stress, fluid dynamics, power transfer, vibration and machinery dynamics problems.

Responsibilities

Build Specific

Supporting our engineers during the design phase to ensure ease of manufacture / assembly / test.
Procuring of build materials to ensure components arrive on time and to the correct quality level
Visiting suppliers prior to & during manufacturing to check status (Capability / timing / quality).
Carrying out basic goods inwards inspections.
Controlling stock levels to ensure we have adequate materials available to support the build activity
Machine small parts such as assembly aids using manual lathe & milling machines.
Assemble products at our facilities, whilst completing build and test records ready for review by the team.
Arrange for finished products to be packaged ready for dispatch
Carry out necessary maintenance, upgrades or repairs as required

On occasion, visit a customer facility to support the installation and testing of our products.
Support test and validation activities on a range of electromechanical components/systems

General

Maintain a clean and tidy workshop that can be readily shown to Customers
Be responsible for EHS in the workshops
Arrange for re-calibration of selected equipment as required.
Maintain an adequate set of tools for our product development activity
Maintain a schedule of work going through the workshop to ensure that future build needs are anticipated and expected.

The role of Control Engineer encompasses all aspects of system  modelling, from requirements capture and interpretation, through to experimental validation using bespoke test equipment and dynamometer facilities. You will work closely with other members of the engineering team in related disciplines on a range of technically-challenging projects, often to tight timescales. Reporting to the Principal Control Engineer, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven capability and experience in the control engineering field. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced control engineer to acquire new skills, as well as developing existing skills to a higher level.
