Customer and Sales Support Engineer



Ensure renewal of software licenses by providing high-quality support for software customers, specialising in the area of geometry and mesh generation, structural mechanics products, fluid-thermal-structure-interaction, Workbench integration, and
Workbench scripting.

Identify sales and growth opportunities in existing accounts and assist the Sales Team by providing high-level technical expertise in
competitive sales situations and by providing technical proof where and when required.

Develop and grow the CFD business in strategic European accounts by providing high-level expertise, software and/or workflow
demonstrations, and presentations.

Prepare and enhance training material for geometry modelling, meshing, fluid or structural mechanics, result analysis, optimization, and other courses as required.

Provide training to new and existing customers.

Perform on-site customer visits (sales & customer support).

Maintain familiarity with CFD software, related third party products and competitive products.

Generate sales-supportive software applications to assist the sales team.

Generate feedback for product improvement and enhancements, and communicate to the Business Units.

Document customer support tasks in the customer support database; document and update software solutions for support requests in the customer support database.

Make recommendations for process and system improvements to the Customer & Sales Support team.

Other job related duties, as assigned by management.


Good practical knowledge of CAD and structural mechanics, geometry modelling and mesh generation software.

Good knowledge of structural mechanics modelling and numerical method theory.

Expertise in structural mechanics engineering applications.

Masters degree in engineering or physical sciences, or equivalent.

Experience of working in sales or customer relations environment.

Excellent organisational skills.

Attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Creativity and drive.

Ability and sufficient robustness to work in a fast-paced environment.
