The candidate will provide technical support for users of Multiphysics in the field of Structural Mechanics (FEA), Develop and teach training classes in structural mechanics modelling.

Qualities

Genuine interest of mathematical modelling, computational physics, and related software simulation tools, particularly within the field of continuum mechanics
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences
Demonstrated experience with computational modelling of Maxwell’s equations in low- and high-frequency regimes.

Sales Engineer
Roles:
  • Expand sales of Multiphysics software to engineers, managers, scientists, and academics
  • Develop new and existing leads through phone calls and presentations
  • Identify, nurture and develop potential sales accounts
  • Create clear, simple presales simulation examples to excite prospects and demonstrate our products
  • Provide some pre- and post-sales technical support directly and through client support team
  • Present client capabilities and its use at public seminars, customer-site presentations and professional conferences
  • Some travel required (10-20%)

Requirements

  • Masters or Ph.D. in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences
  • Excellent time-management skills – balancing multiple demands from many prospects
  • Positive, outgoing personality. Business acumen
  • Excellent communications skills, in person, on the phone and in writing. Strong public speaking skills
  • Experience with computer modelling, FEA analysis or computational physics. Previous experience with any Multiphysics preferable, but not required
  • Previous technical sales experience is preferable, but not required

Advanced Application Engineer (FEA)

My client is looking for an Advanced Applications Engineer to join the
European Aerospace Industry Team.

The Aerospace Industry Team is responsible for the FEA software business in major aerospace accounts in
Europe and provides aerospace-related support to marketing, product management, and pre-sales &
consulting activities.

The successful candidate will provide technical backup to the team and technical pre-sales support
to the customers and prospects. This will involve: visits to customers and prospects to identify
requirements; preparing and delivering technical presentations; carrying out demonstration analyses
and benchmarks using FEA (Prefer Abaqus, CATIA) and Isight; and developing potential services opportunities.

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is a minimum
requirement, together with at least 5 years industrial experience of finite element analysis,
preferably using Abaqus.

Experience of the aerospace industry is desirable.

Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English are essential for this position. The
successful candidate will be highly motivated and be comfortable working in a small team.

They are urgently seeking to recruit 2 Permanent design Engineers. Applications are also welcomed from qualified Draughtsman as my client may consider applications from Draughtsmen.

Salary Scale £32,640 – £40,800 DOE

General Description:

Formulate design methodologies, and produce the design outputs, to analyse, 3D model and draft valve assemblies and components for various applications to ASME, API and company standards so as to ensure the development and on time supply of my client’s engineered products to their customers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Develop methods and carry out the design, modelling, stress analysis and drafting activities required to enable the on-time and on-budget supply of product as specified in the sales data sheets.

· Develop effective and efficient design tools using the departmental software including AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office, ANSYS & MathCAD software.

· Provide training of engineering personnel in the correct application of all relevant design standards, methods and codes.

· Carry out checking, approval and sign-off of your colleagues work including designs, drawings and calculation methods and results.

· Carry out technical reviews of sales information.

· Work within the departmental systems in accordance with company procedures, ISO9000 quality requirements and legislative demands.

· Provide technical support to internal and external customers and suppliers, whilst maintaining previously agreed commitments to your supervisor and colleagues.

· Maintain and develop your professional credentials as a qualified engineer.
